Since 2020, Monarc has removed over 1 million single-use plastics from our oceans and landfills and continues to make an impact on the planet and the way you carry.

Boise, Idaho May 27, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - After the success of their last Kickstarter campaign, Monarc was able to divert over a million single-use plastics from our oceans and landfills. After making such an impact, it left them asking the question, "What if we did it again?!"

"It's no secret that plastic pollution has become a crisis we can no longer ignore. Every day, over 60 million plastic water bottles are being thrown away with only an average of 9% of them actually being recycled. This is damaging to our planet's ecology, our food chain, and our survival as a species. By choosing to use recycled materials to build our bags, we are using resources that are already available to us, lowering our carbon footprint, and helping to tackle the plastic waste problem."

The new Settra Sling and Wallet - now live on Kickstarter- is made using recycled plastic bottles and is certified plastic negative. With their plastic negative certification, they are able to sponsor global clean-up efforts removing twice the amount of plastic used to make their bags.

The decision to create the Settra Sling and Wallet came from listening to their customers who had been using the current travel set over the last 12 months. They wanted a lightweight option that would work well as a carry-on for travel, commuting, and general everyday use.

"We have a passion for design and sustainability. We love the idea of creating a line of bags that are made from recycled materials, and building a company with a mission to make good choices for you and our planet."

The Settra Sling is made using 21 recycled plastic bottles and has a deceptively large 10 Liters of packable space. The Sling is designed large enough to carry a Macbook Pro, an iPad Pro, and a light packable jacket, but small enough to fit perfectly in your travel bag to be used for your next adventure.

The Sling has 3 compartments. The front flat pocket is used for quick access with a large zippered mesh pocket and removable magnetic key chain. The middle main compartment is large enough to fit books, clothing, or tech gear. To keep everything organized, the Sling features an organization system that includes an RFID pocket and a pocket large enough to fit an iPad mini. The third compartment is rigid, anti-static, and neoprene lined and can fit up to a 16" laptop.

To make sure there are no limitations to space, Monarc created a system with adjustable straps and G hooks to carry larger items externally.

To complement the Sling, Monarc designed a compact, easy access Wallet made from 4 recycled plastic bottles. The Wallet is lightweight, has a flexible elastic webbing pocket to hold notes and loose change as well as slots for multiple cards, and a quick access card slot on the front.

Monarc was born on Kickstarter and is so excited to come back and see what a second campaign will do to help boost its mission to tackle plastic waste.
