Southern Empowerment Organization serves as a beacon of hope for veterans by supporting those who cannot afford to pay their rent and utility bills in the state of Georgia. Learn how to donate today and help veterans pay their utility bills and rents.

In honoring Patriot Day and remembering the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, Southern Empowerment Organization has ramped up efforts to help veterans in the State of Georgia.

The nonprofit organization is leading the way in helping the nation’s severely wounded warriors after launching a donation drive aimed at financially supporting those who cannot afford to pay their rent and utility bills in the state of Georgia.

“Your generous donation will change the lives of many veterans in the state of Georgia,” says Johnnie Lattimore, Executive Director at Southern Empowerment Organization.

The Southern Empowerment Organization’s donation drive serves as a concrete way for the public to show gratitude and support for the sacrifices made by veterans in the State of Georgia for keeping the country safe.

Apart from financial and rental aid, Southern Empowerment Organization also leads the way in assisting veterans in getting their VA benefits by filing the required documentation to the VA administration.

“Filing a compensation claim can be a daunting task. Despite completing the online version of the claim, one may find that it takes about 30 minutes only to fill in all the blanks,” says Lattimore. “In addition, getting the needed supporting documentation and filing it to the VA can take much time and can be frustrating.” Southern Empowerment Organization helps in filing a claim and applying for benefits.

Southern Empowerment Organization also offers financial aid to veterans to purchase a new home and pay closing costs.

Lattimore said he always had an interest in veterans and their courage on the battlefields in foreign countries. In the last decades, Lattimore’s interests have grown in helping veterans and offering support for the service in keeping the country free.
