Matthew Roberts, FACHE, an experienced healthcare executive, has been named Chief Executive Officer of City Hospital at White Rock, part of the Pipeline Health, LLC, system. His appointment took effect June 22.
Roberts brings considerable hospital leadership experience, serving as CEO at five different hospitals in Texas, Tennessee, Louisiana and West Virginia.
"Matt's experience includes a terrific record of engaging employees and physicians, improving quality and enhancing patient service, while attaining financial stability and achieving excellence in clinical programs," said Andrei Soran, chief executive officer of Pipeline Health. Most recently, Roberts served as President and CEO of the 300-bed Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia. In that role for just over four years, he led efforts to improve net revenue between FY2016 and FY2019. He also recruited 26 physicians in numerous specialties and redirected numerous other splitters, among other accomplishments.
Roberts comes to his new role with a passion for engagement of both physicians and employees in developing and implementing strategic plans for growth.
