Care at Heart Welcomes Marc Love, MBA to Advisory Board

Care at Heart welcomes a new member to their advisory board, Marc Love.

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Dec. 14, 2020 - PRLog -- Care at Heart welcomes a new member to their advisory board, Marc Love. Love is the State Chief Operating Officer for WellCare of Georgia, the largest Medicaid health plan in Georgia with a significant Medicare Advantage plan. He is primarily responsible for Health Plan Operations, Network Management, and Member Experience.

He joins the Care at Heart advisory board as a health plan industry expert in anticipation of a changing hospice landscape with the future introduction of the Primary Care First—Seriously Ill Population Demonstration Model and the Value-Based Insurance Design Model.

Carla Davis, Chief Executive Officer for Care at Heart, shares: "We believe the hospice benefit we know today will look completely different in the future. Marc's extensive knowledge will help us better carry out our mission."

Before his tenure at WellCare, Love held various leadership roles throughout the managed care industry. Aften earning his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry at Talladega College and his Master of Businesses Administration from Howard University, Love began his career first in the hospital setting at Howard University Hospital and University of Maryland Medical Center as an analyst before joining Deloitte and Touche as a healthcare consultant. He later served as the National Director of Insurance Contracting for HCR Manor Care's Heartland division where he negotiated managed care payor contracts in 32 states before serving as the Vice President of Managed Care Operations for PHP, a Medicare Advantage HMO and PHC, a Medicaid Managed Care HMO in Florida.

Love is a member of the National Association of Health Services Executives and on the Board of Trustees for his undergraduate alma mater. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Accessible Home Care, a national home health company. Love currently resides in Johns Creek, Georgia where he is happily married with two children. In his free time, he enjoys football and basketball and is an avid runner and golfer.

Loves adds, "Heart of Hospice has the leadership team and clinical programs necessary to become the preeminent end-of-life care organization in the country. I am looking forward to helping them achieve industry dominance in quality, growth, and profitability."
