LUDCI.edu, a Diplomacy and Communications Institute that leverages media diplomacy and educommunications in Luxembourg, is opening its virtual doors this month and accepting proposals for its eJournal, Headline Diplomat. Exclusive publications that explore the most pressing issues of our time, LUDCI.edu is seeking first-round submissions that highlight the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic across all elements and sub-sets of our society.

The sponsor of two main publications, LUDCI.eu publishes Headline Diplomat, an eMagazine and eJournal to highlight, study, and reinforce media effects on diplomacy and various issues of concern, including international crises, and the Citizen Diplomat, a community forum that features opinions, beliefs, and writings of everyday people on today’s societal and diplomatic issues. All publications will receive submissions focused on the effects of COVID-19 as part of this first-round call, opening the eyes of readers to the unique citizen perspective around the world.

“We are excited to announce our first call for proposals,” remarked Vassilia Orfanou, the Founder of LUDCI.eu. “We will explore how the COVID-19 crisis has affected families, employees, companies, academic institutions, and many more professions from all walks of life at large. This issue has never been more important to examine.”

Submissions addressing this topic will be considered if received by early September, 2020. Articles, opinionated pieces, and statements from every walk of life or profession will be included. Submissions can happen here and can be a max of seven pages, but as few as two pages would be sufficient. Trusted sources will need to be highlighted and used to validate the articles. Submissions must further bear a clear title and conclusion, with optional items being a subtitle and abstract. Three stock images/photos would need to be added, with the copyrights being reserved by the author and passing to LUDCI.eu.

Driving global awareness and early warning efforts concerning a wide range of global issues, the COVID-19 issue will take readers to the frontlines of this pandemic to explore how its effects have reached all sub-sets of our society. Spanning industries and innovations, the pandemic has had an all too real impact on those near and far.
