Cyanotech® Corporation, (Nasdaq Capital Market: CYAN), a world leader in microalgae-based, high-value nutrition and health products, announced that Charles (C.J.) Hartmann has joined Cyanotech as the company’s new Senior Sales and Marketing Director effective July 20, 2020. He fills a new position that the company deemed necessary in order to continue fueling growth and provide seasoned guidance.
Commenting on the hiring, Cyanotech’s Vice President and General Manager, Matt Custer, said, “We are pleased to have C.J. join us in this role as we continue to grow Cyanotech and our Nutrex Hawaii finished goods brands. His more than 20 years’ experience in sales and marketing, 10 years of which were in the supplement industry, brings valuable experience to our organization. His industry expertise includes developing and implementing comprehensive business and marketing plans, consumer research, new product development and execution, and national and global sales growth management.”
Mr. Hartmann was VP of Sales & Marketing from 2016 for ecoNugenics, Inc. based in Santa Rosa, California. Previously, he was the Senior Director of Sales Planning and Marketing for Metagenics, Inc., also based in California. Before that, he began his career in various sales and marketing positions at VitaSoy USA and Dole Fresh Vegetables. His education includes an MBA from Boston University.
