Ainstein Introduces 77 GHz Automotive Safety Radar

By: PRLog
LAWRENCE, Kan. - Nov. 8, 2017 - PRLog -- Ainstein is proud to announce the availability of evaluation samples for Ainstein 77 GHz Automotive Safety Radar, Kanza-77, a new generation automotive radar sensor built with Ainstein's cutting edge radar technologies.

Compared to existing automotive radars on the market, Ainstein Automotive Safety Radar Kanza-77 offers higher accuracy, faster update rates, and a point cloud output option, making it a great solution to implement sensor fusion for ADAS and self-driving applications.

Ainstein Automotive Safety Radar Kanza-77 is built on RF-CMOS IC technology allowing for ultra low power consumption and unit cost. The sensor's powerful FPGA System-on-Chip based computing platform coupled with Ainstein's advanced signal processing algorithms enable 3D high definition separation to detect and track static and dynamic objects up to 64 targets in the vehicle's path. Ainstein Automotive Safety Radar Kanza-77 combines a wide field of view at mid-range with narrow field and long-range coverage to provide two measurement modes within a single package. Wide view, mid-range coverage enables detection of vehicles cutting in from adjacent lanes as well as identification of vehicles and pedestrians across the width of the equipped vehicle. Long-range coverage provides accurate object discrimination, range and speed data, and target angle for vehicles more than 100 meters away. These capabilities enable life-saving safety features such as forward collision warning, headway monitoring and warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist collision warning, and adaptive cruise control.

Ainstein Automotive Safety Radar Kanza-77 is also highly customizable for customer applications. Ainstein can deliver custom solutions including custom radar specifications, data output options such as point cloud data or raw detection data, and custom data formats to allow for low level sensor fusion with complimentary sensors. All customization services are delivered by Ainstein's PhD level scientists and senior industry engineers who continually push the forefront of self-driving sensors and bring this technology to the market.

In addition, Ainstein Automotive Safety Radar Kanza-77 is compatible with Ainstein's lab test and development equipment, such as the soon-to-be-released Sensor Fusion and Artificial Intelligent Kit. This test and development kit will help greatly reduce the development cycle for radar in ADAS and self driving applications.

Ainstein is actively looking for partners to bring advanced radar safety features to more markets. Please check out www.ainstein.ai for more information.
