RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - Oct. 16, 2017 - PRLog -- In keeping with its philanthropic efforts to make an immediate and positive impact on struggling families and children, the John P. Previti Memorial Foundation has made donations to several charities assisting victims of Hurricane Harvey.  The Foundation is known for its dedication and passion for providing meaningful assistance to youth-oriented non-profit organizations.

"Our hearts go out to all those affected by the catastrophic storm that has done significant damage to Houston and the Texas Gulf Coast," said Christina Previti, Board Member of the John P. Previti Memorial Foundation.  "Its impact will be felt for a long time to come and it is a privilege to be able to offer some assistance in the recovery process."

The organizations receiving donations from the Foundation include a range of non-profit charities assisting victims of Hurricane Harvey, from first responders to those helping families to regain some normalcy.

Medical Teams International - $10,000, working to support the hardest hit communities with meals, fresh water and health kits into the post-disaster phase, responding to the changing health threats that occur in the aftermath of a disaster.

Save The Children - $10,000, emergency teams providing assistance to families having to evacuate their homes, moving quickly to provide shelters with the necessary equipment and services to keep children safe.

American Humane Association - $5,000, first responders putting themselves in harm's way to save animals, responsible for overseeing two mega-shelters with over 1,000 animals displaced due to the storm, and working to reunite families with their best friends.

"Since 2009 when we began our philanthropic effort in memory of my brother, we have been able to provide more than $2 million to non-profits that share our vision for a child's future that is prosperous and full of opportunity. It's a mission that we take great pride in," said Jimmy Previti, the CEO of Frontier Communities.

The John P. Previti Memorial Foundation and homebuilder Frontier Communities have built and rehabilitated more than 5,000 distressed and foreclosed homes transforming them into beautifully-restored, owner-occupied homes for families and first-time buyers.

The non-profit foundation enjoys deep roots in the local community and is dedicated to improving the quality of life of at-risk youth through programs of education, advocacy and recovery. By supporting and inspiring people to overcome adversity and teaming with local charities, the foundation strives to make a real, lasting impact to the health and vitality of communities.  To learn more about the John P.
