Tierra Funds Named ETF Newcomer of the Year

Tierra XP Latin America Real Estate ETF (NYSE Arca: LARE) was honored as ETF Newcomer of the Year at the Fund Action ETF Innovation Awards 2017.

LARE net asset value (NAV) returned 34.42 percent and had a dividend yield of 15.09 percent for the trailing 12 month period as of Jan. 31, 2017. (SEC Yield was 4.19 percent as of Jan. 31, 2017. View performance at http://www.tierrafunds.com/fund/)

LARE is the first and only U.S.-listed exchange-traded fund (ETF) to deliver access to real estate investment trusts (REITs) and real estate operating companies (REOCs) in Latin America. The ETF holds Mexican and Brazilian REITs, as well as major real estate equities in Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, and Chile. REITs represent approximately half of the fund’s holdings, respectively, of the fund’s 61 components.

LARE prevailed as the ETF Newcomer of the Year out of a category of twelve other finalists, including funds from State Street, John Hancock and Goldman Sachs. It was also nominated for Alternative ETF of the Year. The awards were held at The Yale Club in New York City on Feb. 14.

“LatAm REITs are a compelling source of very attractive risk-adjusted income and growth potential. Given LARE’s differentiating qualities from other products in the marketplace, we’re very honored to have the fund recognized by our esteemed industry peers as ETF Newcomer of the Year,” said Jamie Anderson, Managing Partner of Tierra Funds. “Since LARE launched, investors who seek both yield and growth potential have come to see LARE as a compelling alternative that offers unique exposure to local real estate equities that are difficult to access for US-based investors. We remain quite bullish on the Latin American region, given its favorable demographics, continued economic integration and expanding local capital markets.”

The ETF began trading on Dec. 3, 2015 in partnership with ETF Managers Group and ISE ETF Ventures.

LARE, which seeks to replicate the daily performance of the Solactive Latin America Real Estate Index (Index ticker: LAREPR), has an expense ratio of 0.79 percent.

Carefully consider the Fund’s investment objectives, risk factors, charges, and expenses before investing. This material must be accompanied or preceded by a prospectus. Please read the prospectus carefully before investing.

Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Shares of any ETF are bought and sold at market price (not NAV), may trade at a discount or premium to NAV and are not individually redeemed from the Fund. Brokerage commissions will reduce returns. Narrowly focused investments typically exhibit higher volatility. The Fund will be sensitive to changes in, and its performance will depend to a greater extent on, the overall condition of the global and local economies. Funds that invest in smaller companies may experience greater volatility. Diversification does not guarantee a profit, nor does it protect against a loss in a declining market.

The Tierra XP Latin America Real Estate ETF seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the Solactive Latin America Real Estate Index. The Solactive Latin America Real Estate Index screens for all listed equities with primary listings in the Latin America region and which derive substantially most of their income from real estate and real estate services.

The Fund is distributed by ALPS Distributors, Inc., which is not affiliated with ETF Managers Group, LLC or any of its affiliates.
