NAPERVILLE, Ill. - May 11, 2016 - PRLog -- During the month of April 2016, Toyota of Naperville, the Dan Wolf Auto Group, and other local car dealerships participated in a charitable Test Drives for Autism campaign to help benefit the Turning Pointe Autism Foundation, a school, career college, and center of support for individuals with autism. At the end of Autism Awareness Month, hundreds of people in the Chicagoland area took a test drive for autism and helped raise more than $18,000.
The Test Drives for Autism campaign made it very simple for drivers to help out a great cause and be a hero. All drivers had to do was visit Toyota of Naperville, test drive a new Toyota car, and the dealership would donate $20 to the Turning Pointe Autism Foundation with no strings attached.
Every Dan Wolf Auto Group dealership collectively participated to help raise the $18,000, as well as other dealerships in Naperville and the Chicagoland area. In total, more than 20 dealerships participated in the Test Drives for Autism campaign.
The Turning Pointe Autism Foundation was founded by Kim and Randy Wolf, the son of Dan Wolf, in 2007. When their son Jack was diagnosed with autism, the Wolf family wanted to provide support for other families in the greater Chicagoland area. Today the Turning Pointe Autism Foundation helps provide family support, recreational outings, residential planning, and educational opportunities, including the CN New Day School and the Turning Pointe Career College.
"The money that we raise helps support the school and our career college," said Randy Wolf. "We don't get any money from the state of Illinois. We don't get any money from the federal government. We have to fundraise to help these families, and this is one of our fundraisers."
