ACI and CRN Once Again Collaborate on Dietary Supplements Forum

By: PRLog
NEW YORK - March 30, 2016 - PRLog -- American Conference Institute (ACI) is pleased to announce that it will once again join forces with the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) on ACI's Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Forum on Dietary Supplements which will take place at the Andaz Hotel in New York City on June 27-29, 2016. Scott Bass, Head of Global Life Sciences at Sidley Austin, and Steve Mister, CEO and President of CRN, will serve as co-chairs of this year's event which is now in its fourth iteration.

As Stephanie Butler, Division Manager of ACI's Life Sciences and Health Care Division, noted, "ACI's collaboration with CRN has solidified this event's status as the premier legal conference for the dietary supplements industry's legal, regulatory and compliance stakeholders. This meeting is where all the industry's 'movers and shakers' gather to discuss, assess and analyze the political, legislative, regulatory and judicial developments impacting the industry's business decisions and long-term strategies. This forum undoubtedly helps shape the industry's legal, regulatory and compliance agenda."

Lisa J. Piccolo, Senior Industry Manager, Life Sciences and Health Care with ACI, stated, "ACI is honored to once again have the opportunity to work with CRN. Further, we're delighted that Scott Bass and Steve Mister will be co-chairing."

Piccolo went on to say that given the many developments impacting the industry this year from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's elevation of its dietary supplement division to a dedicated Office of Dietary Supplement Programs, to further enforcement activities by the state and federal authorities, industry-led compliance efforts, new class action threats, new questions on claims substantiation and state GMO laws, the need for this conference has never been greater. This year's agenda will address these developments and not only offer a "state of the union", but will also help the industry find answers to these and other day-to-day dilemmas."
