4 Life Lessons Learnt from Writing a Novel (before it’s even published)

By: PRLog
PR Log - Oct 22, 2012 - Covering the 4 life lessons that can be learnt from writing a novel, Woody's post on Make Your Offer (a platform for buying and promoting ebooks) cites Imagination, Organisation, Reflection and Perseverance as key learning points from the process.

Having recently finished his "first novel...[in]..18 months" Woody discusses the often overlooked benefits of writing a novel, highlighting four potential character building aspects of writing that leave lasting impact on an author, even before they get the book published.

Aimed at new authors this guest blog post at Make Your Offer has advice mixed in with experience; "Perseverance is key to this whole process, it’s something you’ll apply but only realise you have once you get towards the end."

The four life lessons discussed:
♦ Imagination
♦ Organisation
♦ Reflection
♦ Perseverance

Woody on Imagination: "Picture yourself now; objectify yourself sitting there at the computer reading this. What would be different about the scene if you had written a novel? Would anything in the room change? It’s not important what you imagined, but that you imagined. Imagination is a huge part of writing a novel and stretching that muscle is great fun. Writing a novel is the ultimate opportunity to explore your own imagination; once you start writing you’ll wonder how you ever let it get so latent."
