Marcus Institute of Integrative Health Announces 2024 Integrative Nutrition Conference November 7-8 in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA—The Marcus Institute of Integrative Health at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, is pleased to announce its annual integrative nutrition conference, scheduled for November 7-8, 2024 at Jefferson Alumni Hall, located at Thomas Jefferson University's center city campus in Philadelphia, PA. The event, titled “Whole Person Health: Advances in Integrative Nutrition,” will focus on evidence-based integrative nutritional approaches to optimize clinical outcomes and promote preventive care. For convenience and flexibility, the “hybrid” conference allows attendees to choose between online and in-person participation.

Event Director Daniel A. Monti, MD is the founder and CEO of the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health; founding Chair of the Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Sciences at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University; and an integrative medicine doctor and neuroscientist. Dr. Monti expressed enthusiasm about hosting the conference and creating the opportunity for healthcare professionals to learn from the experts in integrative medicine who will be presenting the latest research in their field.

Advances in Integrative Nutrition Conference November 7-8, 2024 in Philadelphia, PA for medical professionals to attend in-person or virtually to learn about cutting edge integrative medicine research and earn CME credits for doctors and nurses.

“We are excited to bring together leading experts in integrative nutrition to share cutting-edge knowledge and practical applications that can significantly improve patient outcomes,” said Dr. Monti. “Topics that will be covered this year include inflammatory processes, nutrition and cancer care, and the gut microbiome.”

The integrative medicine conference is designed to cater to both licensed healthcare professionals and students in healthcare disciplines. Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and those studying to become healthcare providers are all invited to join.

The event features a host of integrative health experts from the Marcus Institute and beyond, including keynote speaker Dr. Rani Polak, who is the founding director of the innovative Culinary Healthcare Education Fundamentals (CHEF) coaching program at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel, as well as a Research Associate at the Harvard Medical School Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The conference will cover a range of topics relevant to healthcare professionals interested in incorporating integrative nutrition into their patient care strategies, from advances in metabolic health, to advanced nutritional strategies for specialized populations, to nutrients as pharmaceuticals.

“As the demand for holistic and patient-centered care continues to grow, it's essential for healthcare providers to stay informed about effective nutritional strategies that can be integrated into their practice,” said Dr. Monti. “With the flexibility to join the conference from home, we aim to create an event that reaches as many healthcare providers as possible, helping them to grow their practice and help patients more effectively than ever before. We believe the discussions at these conferences are truly advancing the field of healthcare.”

Beyond gaining valuable, actionable insights that medical professionals can bring back to their practice, they can earn continuing education credits whether they attend the conference in-person or virtually. To fulfill continuing education requirements, 18.25 CME, ANCC, or CE credits are available for physicians and nurses; an American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) 18.25-hour credit option is also pending. If you are a healthcare professional seeking another kind of continuing education credit, you may be eligible to claim credit independently if approved by your professional organization.

The conference will take place on Thursday, November 7th, and Friday, November 8th, 2024, from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm. Participants may attend the conference live on-campus or virtually. The cost of attendance is $249 to attend in-person and $299 to attend virtually. Discounted rates are available for students, residents, and fellows as well as for Jefferson Health staff and faculty; interested individuals can email IntegrativeMedEd@jefferson.edu to receive discount codes.
