Center Rock Inc. announces updates to its range of low-profile (LP) drills to help customers in a range of industries nationwide - including development companies, roadway engineers, and mining contractors - complete their drilling projects more efficiently, effectively, and safely.

Center Rock Inc.’s (CRI’s) recent product developments offer more efficient, higher-precision drilling solutions to help customers better meet exacting speed and precision requirements across various industries, such as oil and gas drilling, construction, water well and geothermal drilling, mining, and the utility industry.

The LP drills feature a sleek profile that allows for operation in tight, confined spaces. Each of CRI’s four LP drill models - Conventional/Reverse Circulation, Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), Utility, and Mining Low-Profile Canister - comes in standard and custom-built sizes, ranging from 12 to 144 inches in diameter. Moreover, the tools’ durable construction enables them to operate effectively within confined spaces and under other challenging conditions.

Each LP drill is engineered to deliver the highest precision in meeting customers’ specific project requirements. The drills are custom fabricated to match specifications up to 144 inches in diameter. Customers can further adapt the drills for their projects with various accessories, such as breakout stands, water injection systems, air manifolds, and others.

Additionally, the drills offer improved penetration rates for faster hole drilling, reducing customers’ project timelines and increasing their productivity. Thanks to these penetration rates, CRI’s LP product line has performed very efficiently in drilling some of the world’s hardest rock formations.

The drills have been updated with safety in mind as well, with enhanced safety mechanisms incorporated into each unit to protect operators. For instance, the Conventional/Reverse Circulation LP drill’s capped flute recovery style includes features that help contain cuttings, minimizing the risk of accidental releases and improving operation safety.
