Blind Logic Productions, LLC announces the late Ralph R. Teetor was honored by the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, MI

LOS ANGELES, CA - July 26, 2023 - Blind Logic Productions, LLC announced the late Ralph R. Teetor was honored for his 35th anniversary of his induction into the Automotive Hall of Fame and for his Distinguished Service Citation Award in 1964, at the 2023 gala awards ceremony held at The Fillmore Detroit honoring the new inductees on July 20th.

Induction into the Hall of Fame is considered the greatest honor an individual can receive in the automotive industry and is reserved for noteworthy pioneers and leaders whose efforts have advanced and changed the automotive world. This year’s inductees included Mary Barra, Chair & CEO, General Motors, Takeo Fujisawa, Co-Founder, Honda Motor Co., Larry R. Wood, Hot Wheels Designer, Mattel, among others.

Teetor was also recognized at the revealing of his signature in the Hall of Honor at the Hall of Fame Museum in Dearborn, MI, during the signature event held on July 19th. Members of the Teetor family and Ralph Teetor’s grandson Ralph Meyer and his wife Connie attended the events. At the signature event, Miho Ohsawa, Advisor to Japan Automotive Hall of Fame, stated “Ralph Teetor’s story is one of inspiration for all,” and further extended an invitation to host a screening in Tokyo, Japan. Hall of Fame Board Chair, Jonathon Husby, welcomed the Teetor family during his opening address at the awards ceremony.

Sarah Cook, President of the HOF, further extended her congratulations to the Teetor family. Motoharu Imai, Grandson of 2023 inductee Takeo Fujisawa, told Jack Teetor, “Ralph Teetor has a remarkable story and I’m looking forward to seeing your film when you screen it in Japan.” This documentary film follows the remarkable journey in America’s heartland of an automotive pioneer and visionary from childhood blindness through his life of courage, profound persistence, fierce determination, and distinctive mental vision to become an inventive, insightful leader, and philanthropist. Ralph Teetor’s life spanned the entire development of the American automobile industry.

Known primarily for his invention of the “Cruise Control,” Teetor also balanced turbine rotors for the Navy in WWI and was granted fifty patents from 1919 to 1946. Credits include award-winning Editor Derek Tow, Composer Jim Andron, Photo Editor Daniel Teetor, and Sound Editing & Design by award-winning and Emmy nominated Jessie Spence & Jonathan Greasley. Written, directed, and produced by Jack Teetor, this documentary is based on the book One Man’s Vision – The Life of Automotive Pioneer Ralph R. Teetor, by Marjorie Teetor Meyer. Blind Logic – The Ralph R. Teetor Story, features four renowned trailblazers in the automotive world, Ralph Teetor’s four grandchildren, his oldest living nephew, and comments from late colleagues and past and living professors.
