SpendHQ Names Data & AI Veteran Geoffrey Young as CTO to Accelerate Procurement Intelligence

Veteran technology leader to accelerate data-driven innovation and expand advanced platform capabilities

SpendHQ, the leading provider of enterprise procurement intelligence solutions, today announced the appointment of Geoffrey Young as Chief Technology Officer. Young joined SpendHQ in December and will lead the company’s global technology organization as it enters a transformative phase focused on data, AI, and scalable growth.

Procurement teams today face an overwhelming surge of data—volumes that grow exponentially every day. As a pioneer in procurement data management, SpendHQ has long been trusted to turn complex data into clarity. Bringing experience from his time at Moody’s Analytics and other data-intensive environments, Geoffrey’s expertise will amplify SpendHQ's commitment to harnessing this data explosion, ensuring it becomes a strategic asset that drives faster, more confident decisions.

With decades of experience, Young has built and scaled enterprise-grade technology platforms across high-growth, private equity–backed, and mission-critical environments. His appointment reflects SpendHQ’s continued focus on strengthening its platform foundation and expanding its capabilities while delivering reliable, outcome-driven innovation for enterprise customers.

“Geoff’s appointment marks a critical moment for SpendHQ as AI becomes central to the future of every tech and data company. With a platform already trusted by hundreds of global organizations, we’re now advancing to the next era by leveraging AI to turn data into continuous, measurable value for procurement teams,” said Scott Macfee, CEO of SpendHQ. “Geoff’s experience leading complex, data-intensive environments will accelerate our ability to innovate and scale, ensuring our customers stay ahead in a rapidly changing world.”

Before joining SpendHQ, Young held senior technology leadership roles across venture- and private equity–backed organizations, guiding teams through key growth inflection points. Earlier in his career, he designed and engineered the search and discovery engine at Ticketmaster—technology that remains in use today—gaining firsthand experience building systems at a global scale. Most recently, he led the technology organization for Moody’s AML and sanctions screening business, supporting data-intensive platforms designed to combat financial crime worldwide.

“SpendHQ offers a unique opportunity to help scale a platform already delivering meaningful impact to customers. Its growth trajectory, combined with a leadership team whose values I deeply share, makes this an exciting next chapter,” said Young. “I’m looking forward to accelerating innovation and ensuring our technology continues to drive measurable results.”

Under Young’s guidance, SpendHQ will continue to strengthen its platform foundation and expand its use of data and AI to deliver more timely, actionable insights. By ensuring data remains abundant, clean, and current, the company will be positioned to build next-generation capabilities that help procurement teams drive continuous performance improvements.
