University of Phoenix to Host Bridging Perspectives Webinar on Caregiving and Workplace Strategy

Webinar explores how recognizing and supporting caregivers can strengthen workplace culture and drive strategic success

University of Phoenix will host the next installment of its Bridging Perspectives webinar series, “The Hidden Workforce of Caregiving: Tomorrow’s Strategic Edge,” on Thursday, November 20, at 11AM MST. The series is presented by the Office of Collaborative Learning and Educational Engagement and is designed for higher education leaders, employers, nonprofit organizations and University of Phoenix faculty, staff, students, and alumni.

“Caregiving is a lived experience that intersects with workplace culture. This session invites us to move beyond awareness and into action, exploring how organizations can build strategies that support, retain and empower employees who navigate caregiving responsibilities,” shares Tondra Richardson, MBA, Director of Engagement Strategy & Program Development at University of Phoenix.

The webinar will feature a panel of professionals who bring diverse perspectives on caregiving, leadership, and workplace culture. Panelists include Neal Shah, CEO of CareYaya Health Technologies and Counterforce Health, and author of Insured to Death, and Bradley Richardson, five-time author and host of the Advanced Adulting podcast. The discussion will be moderated by Heather Steiness, Ph.D., M.P.H., Associate Dean of Graduate Programs in the College of Health Professions at University of Phoenix.

This session continues the September conversation about Balancing Career, Caregiving, and Identity in Today’s Workforce, expanding the dialogue to explore what employers, leaders, and institutions need to know to empower the “hidden workforce” of caregivers. Attendees will gain actionable strategies to reframe caregiving as a career skill and foster workplace cultures where employees thrive.

Earlier this year, University of Phoenix Career Institute® and Motherly released the latest installment in The Career Optimism Special Report™ Series: Moms in the Sandwich Generation, revealing the toll of caregiving on career decisions for sandwich generation parents, where 66% say the benefits offered by their employers aren't enough to meet the needs of their adult caregiving and childcare responsibilities.

The Bridging Perspectives webinar series aims to foster cultural awareness about timely issues, impactful thought leadership, and community alliances.
