A Woman Evolves, LLC Says Women Can Have Work-Life Balance

The Aim Should Be To Navigate the Corporate Culture Without Sacrificing Your Soul

CHARLOTTE, NC / ACCESSWIRE / February 1, 2022 / In September 2021, the Wall Street Journal reported a comprehensive new study by McKinsey and Lean, which shows that in the wake of COVID-19, many corporate professional women are stressed and exhausted and are rethinking what they want and are not getting from their work lives. A US women's study showed women manage family health care in this order: children, pets, elderly parents, elderly relatives, self.

Corporate attorney, Grammy award winner and CEO of A Woman Evolves, LLC, Coré S. Cotton says, "As professional women, we at one time or another find ourselves stuck, choosing between what we "must" do and what we want to do, or figuring out how to advance in our careers, all while tackling self-sabotage.

Cotton experienced this situation firsthand. "I lived in the balance-in boxes until I realized that my existence was a fragmented one. One day I woke up feeling broken, defeated, and at my place of "not one more day" -- not one more day of feeling incomplete, of living up to someone else's made-up version of me. I realized that passion and dream do not have to compete. I chose not to choose; but rather, to leverage my strengths and passions to empower myself toward my definition of success."

In A Woman Evolves, LLC workshops Cotton helps women change their personal or professional trajectory to live in true purpose. Cotton says it all starts with knowing yourself. "When we tap into who we are and what is our worth, we immediately cease living fragmented existences and live out our true purposes unapologetically."

It's also essential to understand one's current environment. Cotton says, "We all must navigate our environment- whether personal relationships, professional relationships or all things in between."

A Woman Evolves uses The CliftonStrengths Online Talent Assessment to show women how to identify their strengths. Additional steps include how to lean into soft skills and leverage the power of perception. Vision boards can be helpful to keep a focused vision at the forefront.

A Woman Evolves, LLC says one misconception many women have is that doing good work will speak for itself. Cotton says, "nothing could be further from the truth. You must take ownership of your development." She encourages women to "lead from your seat and look for ways to add value to your current role."

A "personal board of directors" chosen from a trusted group of colleagues can serve as a sounding board and give feedback. Mentors are also a valuable resource. Cotton says, "the key is selecting someone whose opinion you trust and whose leadership style produces excellent results.

Lastly, reach back and give forward. Cotton says, "what you put out comes back to you. We should all reach back and out to help make another sister an even better leader than we are today." The pandemic has led to The Great Resignation, changing the corporate landscape across America. A Woman Evolves, LLC says now more than ever, women have an opportunity to ‘navigate the corporate culture without sacrificing your soul'.

"It's time for us to seize our empower and unapologetically step into passion-driven lives without limitations," Cotton says. "I know that if I can realize such a life breakthrough, then so can my sisters. For, we are still evolving, together."
