Matlin Injury Law Announces 2024 Scholarship, A Second Chance: How My Accident Changed My Goals for the Future

Matlin Injury Law to award $5,000 scholarship to a deserving college or graduate student who suffered a traumatic car accident

PARKER, CO, May 01, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Matlin Injury Law will reward one college, university, or graduate student with a $5,000 scholarship to help fund their pursuit of higher education. The scholarship, A Second Chance: How My Accident Changed My Goals for the Future, will go to a qualifying student who was involved in a traumatic car accident. Students may use their scholarship award to pay for tuition, room and board, and any additional expenses required by their college or university.

Applicants will submit a PSA-style video that shares the story of their accident and the hardships they endured to become the person they are now. Scholarship applicants will create a 1 to 2-minute video answering the prompt: Describe how a traumatic car accident experience has influenced your life and determined your future prospects in the work field.

How to Qualify for Matlin Injury Law's Scholarship

Students will need to meet several qualifying criteria for a valid scholarship application. These criteria include:

- The applicant is enrolled or accepted to an accredited college, university, or graduate school
- The applicant is in good academic standing
- The applicant is a United States citizen or authorized to work or attend school in the United States
- The applicant must apply only using the form linked on Matlin Injury Law's scholarship page
- The applicant agrees to the Terms and Conditions
- The applicant submits an original video about their traumatic car accident experience and how it influenced their life and future career plans

Scholarship applicants must also be at least 18 years old to apply for the award. Employees or the children of an employee at Matlin Injury Law may not apply. If you wish to apply, please know that the firm will only consider your application if you submit an original video, you have never previously received this scholarship, and you are willing to be interviewed by a representative of the firm.

Applications are due by October 1, 2024, and a scholarship committee will determine the winner of the award. However, the length of time it takes for a winner to be determined will depend on the number of applications received.

Filming Your Scholarship Application Video

To apply for the A Second Chance: How My Accident Changed My Goals for the Future scholarship, applicants will need to create a video based on the following guidelines:

- The applicant must record the video in a well-light area on a stable recording device
- The applicant must state their name and the title of the scholarship they are applying to at the start or end of the video
- The applicant must give credits and list sources from which they gathered information
- The applicant must list any media editing tools they used in the description of their video
- The applicant must use copyright-free content
- The applicant must use a creative video title that demonstrates the subject of their video and their ideas
