(b) On April 23, 2013, Robert H. Bateman resigned as Senior Vice President and Controller of The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. ("The Hartford"). Mr. Bateman's resignation is effective May 3, 2013. Until a permanent successor is named, Christopher J. Swift, The Hartford's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will assume the role of principal accounting officer vacated by Mr. Bateman.
