ANNOUNCEMENT

The Board of Directors (the “Board”) of China Mobile Limited (the “Company”) announces that the Company has been notified by its ultimate controlling shareholder, China Mobile Communications Corporation (“CMCC”), that due to alleged serious financial irregularities, the Vice Chairman and executive director of the Company, Mr. Zhang Chunjiang’s positions as Secretary of the CPC Committee and Vice President of CMCC have been removed and CMCC recommended the Company to consider removing Mr. Zhang’s positions at the Company. The Company will convene a Board meeting to discuss the matter concerning Mr. Zhang’s positions at the Company as soon as possible. The Company will make further announcement promptly if and when a decision is made.
