Item 8.01 Other Events.

On June 20, 2007, Verizon Communications Inc. announced that during the second quarter 2007 the number of customers for Verizon’s FiOS internet service had reached 1 million and the number of subscribers for Verizon’s FiOS TV service was nearly 500,000. Final results for the second quarter 2007 will be announced on July 30, 2007.
