In celebration of Asian Heritage Month, Chinese American Museum, the only museum in the nation’s capital dedicated to Chinese Americans, is privileged to host a book debut and signing event for Rose Hong, a Chinese American author, TV producer and host, for her newly published book, “The Heist of the Century, Vanished – Antiquities of China: The Heirloom Seal of the Realm.”
The event also will showcase some celebrated award winning Asian artists’ artworks including Master Ellen QiongZhao Schicktanz, who created two iconic revolutionary moments in life-size bronze which are being permanently displayed at the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia; Ms. Yanbo Huang, who recently received the Excellent Award at the World ArtExpo in NY; Ms. Jen G, an opera singer and artist will all showcase their oil paintings and sculptures.
In the past several years, and throughout history, narratives surrounding Chinese, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have been rife with negativity and even hostility. Yet Chinese and Asian Americans have contributed so much to this great nation and their experiences are American experience. It is what make this nation great!
