In the past several years, and throughout history, narratives surrounding Chinese, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have been rife with negativity and even hostility. Yet Chinese and Asian Americans have contributed so much to this great nation and their experiences are American experience. It is what make this nation great!

American Odyssey, From Beijing to Washington, is another book published by Rose Hong. The book is an autobiography of the author’s life journey as a (https://amazon.com/American-Odyssey-Washington-Rose-Hong-ebook/dp/B0958TW93G) first-generation immigrant to this nation and how Asian Americans has contributed to this nation.

Hong started her American odyssey with only $35 dollars and spoke little English; now she is an accomplished American citizen.  Her work has impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.

Her newly published “Vanished” is a fiction about the looting of Chinese antiquities in 1860 by eight European powers. These priceless Chinese royal antiquities are being showcased at top European and American museums.  Several heists have been carried out secretly… Among the missing items was a priceless Seal of the Realm.

The hunt is on to find out who carried out this heist of the century; and why did they steal this priceless Seal of the Realm?

What is the Seal of the Realm and why it is so priceless?? The myth is that whoever possesses the seal, will rule the land!

Who is the rightful owner? Should cultural and religious antiquities and artifacts looted by the European colonists be returned to their country of origin?

The debate is live and ongoing… Where and to whom do these antiquities truly belong?
