Unfamous NY Schedules MothaTruckin’ Art Show 4 For 22nd & 23rd October 2022

The show returns with a new dimension that promises to take viewers on an epic journey through time, revisiting the streets of NY in the 70s & 80s, in a tale told by the iconic box truck

October 21, 2022 - Unfamous NY is delighted to announce that it has scheduled the MothaTruckin’ Art Show 4 for the 22nd and 23rd of October 2022. Inspired by the community, the widely celebrated annual art show pairs unity and creativity to highlight a graffiti staple of New York.

In previous editions of the show, artists showcased their creativity by customizing 1:43-scale toy trucks to highlight a graffiti staple of the white box truck. This year however, the show is returning with a new dimension that promises to take viewers on an epic journey through time. By adding other mini art pieces such as the billboard, post no-bills fence, handball court, and a gate, the curators of the show are amping up the storytelling and making art that can be felt.

The incorporation of both street artists and graffiti by the additional elements takes viewers on a stroll through the streets of NY in the 70s and 80s, allowing them to not only see the art but also experience the culture and history of the city as captured by the box truck.

Inspired by the art seen on trucks throughout the city, box trucks capture the essence of New York graffiti and street art. These iconic automobiles possess the unique ability to transform time and bring back the nostalgia of New York in the 70s to 80s when subways, trucks, and a majority of the streets were covered with graffiti and art. Constantly moving from one borough to another, across multiple cities, the box truck is a wide and expansive body of mobile historical graffiti and urban art that reflects the culture and creativity of the community.

Slated to begin from 6 PM to 12 AM on Saturday the 22nd and from 12 PM to 10 PM on Sunday the 23rd, this year's edition of the MothaTruckin’ Art Show will be held at 188 Allen Street, NY. A $5 suggested donation at the door will grant attendees access to the event, while prospective guests are expected to RSVP via the following link: www.unfamousny.com/truckshow4.
