Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Mar 4, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Two Malaysian students have emerged as the top scorers in recent examinations for the ICAEW ACA qualification. The Malaysian students beat 7000 other aspiring chartered accountants from around the world, gaining the highest scores in Professional Level examinations, part of the internationally recognised ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification, the ACA.
In the exams, Rebecca Wong Shin Ai received the Simon Morris Memorial prize for achieving the highest average score amongst non-graduate students who started the accountancy programme immediately after secondary school. She was also awarded the Arthur Swinson prize for coming in sixth among all students globally who have completed the ICAEW Professional Level.
Meanwhile, another Malaysian student, Leong Kher Huey, was awarded the Watts prize for the highest score among those who sat for the ICAEW Professional Level Audit and Assurance examination.
Malaysia has produced more ICAEW prize winners than any other country internationally outside the United Kingdom.

21-year-old Rebecca began working towards her ICAEW Chartered Accountancy qualification at Sunway TES directly after completing her A-Levels at Methodist College KL. She recently joined Ernst & Young Malaysia's assurance and audit department and attributes her successful employment to the knowledge acquired from ICAEW modules that covered a wide range of subjects, allowed her to develop her skills, and gave a holistic view of the industry.
Kher Huey is currently a final year student pursuing a Bachelor of Accounting at Universiti Malaya. She will be starting an internship at Ernst & Young Malaysia later this year. She decided to begin working toward the highly sought-after ACA qualification by attending classes at Sunway TES while studying for her accounting degree because she wanted to get a head start towards completing the ICAEW ACA examinations sooner.
