CringeCarter Supports Pink Donut Project

New Hampshire - February 26, 2021 - (Newswire.com)

TikTok sensation and The Influencer Marketing Factory's very own, Carter Kench (also known as CringeCarter), is tapping into his love for helping others and is showing his support to a very important cause this month.

Pink Donut Project, hosted by Joli White and her family, reached out to Carter and shared their family story about Alec White, who passed away years ago due to battling with mental health. The project takes place on February 26th, Alec's birthday, who this year would have turned 20 years old.

Joli, Alec's sister, realized Carter would make a great ambassador due to his love for Dunkin' and his audience being primarily Gen-Z aged. After talking to the family, Carter was very touched and felt the urge to share the project with his audience so all can participate on February 26th.

White was thrilled to hear Carter was interested in participating, she said, "I can't thank Carter enough for helping celebrate Alec's birthday by spreading awareness for mental health and sharing our love for Dunkin' together!"

Those that participate in Pink Donut Project are encouraged the purchase a pink donut from a shop of their choice, as pink donuts were Alec's favorite treat, and post using the hashtags #PinkDonutsForAlec and #AlecsAntics to spread awareness. The donut symbol is meant to be happy and keep Alec's memory alive.

Carter, while on his daily Dunkin' run, snagged himself a pink treat himself and shared the message of the importance of mental health with his TikTok audience encouraging them to all stop by their local shop on the date of the project.

When asked about why he felt compelled to share online, Carter said, "Mental health is very taboo still with the younger generation and I feel it is important to find someone you trust to talk or self-advocate and seek help if possible. If I can use my platform in any way to help, I always will."

Alec's family and friends keep Alec's memory alive on a daily basis, aside from the Pink Donuts Project by supporting others through education and understanding that mental health is vital to overall health.

The Alec J. White Memorial Scholarship Fund was created for this purpose, with two $1000 scholarships to be awarded annually to graduating Merrimack Valley High School students who wish to pursue a career in mental health, human services, or the trades.
