Natural Skincare Products Company Announces Recycling Program For Environment-Friendly Disposal Of PackagingEdible Beauty, founded by naturopath and nutritionist Anna Mitsios, believes in an inside and outside approach to beauty. Its range of natural skincare and wellness products has been developed from organic ingredients and wildcrafted botanicals to holistically deliver health and wellness.

According to announcements released by Edible Beauty and Anna Mitsios, the company’s range of natural skincare, natural eye cream, vegan collagen powder, and natural face masks helps users feel and experience beauty from the inside out. The company is Australia’s leading producer of edible skincare products.

This luxury skincare brand has announced a recycling program. It has partnered with TerraCycle to allow its Australian customers to dispose of its edible beauty products’ packaging material in an eco-friendly manner. TerraCycle recycles the used packaging into new products.

The program currently accepts droppers, pumps, spray closures, plastic tubes, containers, sachets, tea refill pouches, and masks (including packaging). The acceptance of violet glass depends on local council rules; many councils accept Miron glass under kerbside recycling.

Every kilogram of recyclable material collected under the Edible Beauty Recycling Program earns the recycler $1 that is to be used for charity.

For Edible Beauty, its partnership with TerraCycle is a natural extension of its philosophy of being an environmentally responsible business committed to using quality ingredients and following ethical business practices.

The two businesses have come together to meet a growing need for sustainable recycling within the beauty industry.

Anna Mitsios of Edible Beauty said, “Edible Beauty is thrilled to ensure our consumers are now able to dispose of all our packaging in an environmentally responsible manner. We are proud to announce that our products, made from Australian wildcrafted plants, cruelty-free and vegan, now come in 100% recyclable packaging.

We use a five-step process to harness the healing power of nature by considering your beauty concerns holistically and addressing the underlying cause of a condition – rather than merely offering symptomatic relief. Our sustainability ethos means the list of the organic ingredients provides the highest level of purity, while our packaging is 100 percent recyclable.”

Jean Bailliard, General Manager of TerraCycle Australia, said, “Many people aren’t aware of the difficulties in recycling beauty products. Dark or black colored plastic, for example, isn’t able to be recycled in traditional material recovery facilities; this is where we step in. Once we receive the items, we will sort, shred and melt them down into plastic pellets to be used in the manufacture of new products such as garden beds, park benches and even playgrounds. This helps us to go from a linear to a circular economy.”
