The firm's client was caring for an elderly woman in her Bronx apartment when she was hit in the head by an unknown object. When she came to her senses and looked up, she noticed a large piece of the apartment ceiling was missing and laid on the ground near her feet. The client called her employer and was told to wait there until the home health aide agency could send someone else to care for their elderly patient. Once another home health aide arrived, the firm's client was transported to a local hospital where she received emergency medical care. The law firm's client suffered a head injury, bilateral shoulder injury as well as neck and back pain; the extent of her injuries have not yet been determined. However, she has been advised by medical professionals to remain out of work, at least until MRI results have been obtained.
