Stock Update (NYSE:F): U.S. top court declines to revive apartheid claims against IBM, Ford

[Reuters] – The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected an appeal by a group of black South Africans seeking to revive human rights litigation aiming to hold Ford Motor Co and IBM Corp liable for allegedly conducting business that helped perpetuate racial apartheid. Read more on this. Ford Motor Co. (F) , valued at $53.77B, opened this morning at $13.39. Shares have traded today between $13.39 and $13.55 per share with the price of the stock fluctuating between $10.44 to $15.84 over the last 52 weeks. Ford (F) shares are currently priced at 6.28x this year’s forecasted earnings, which makes them relatively inexpensive compared to the industry’s 17.24x earnings multiple for the same period. And for dividend hunters, the company pays shareholders $0.60 per share annually in dividends, yielding 4.52%. According to a consensus of 15 analysts, the earnings estimate of $0.61 per share would be $0.14 better than the year-ago quarter and a $0.04 sequential increase. What we find to be interesting is that the full-year EPS estimate of $2.11 is a $0.18 better when compared to the previous year’s annual results. The quarterly earnings estimate is predicated on a consensus revenue forecast of $36.30 Billion. If reported, that would be a 3.42% increase over the year-ago quarter.
