INVERNESS, Fla. - Feb. 23, 2026 - PRLog -- The Pet Professional Guild (PPG) is proud to announce the appointment of two dedicated leaders to its divisional chair positions, effective immediately. Jennifer Van Valkenburg, CFTBS Animal Behavior Institute, has been appointed as the Chair of the Feline Division. Kat Frizzell, PFACCI, CPPS, FFCP, has been appointed as the Chair of the Pet Care Division. These appointments reinforce PPG's commitment to providing expert-led, science-based, and force-free resources across all sectors of the pet care industry.
"I can't wait to begin my time as the PPG Feline Division Chair," states Jennifer Van Valkenburg about the responsibility of overseeing and leading the strategic direction for feline-specific initiatives. Her expertise will be instrumental in expanding the Guild's educational outreach and advocacy for feline behavior and welfare, ensuring that cat professionals and guardians alike have access to the highest standards of ethical care. Jennifer adds, "I'm passionate about cooperative care, making sure cats have the resources they need and see this as an opportunity to further cat behavior education and welfare for all cats."
Kat Frizzell will take over the leadership of the Pet Care Division, focusing on the standards, safety, and professional development of pet sitters, dog walkers, groomers, and other pet care providers. Her leadership arrives at a pivotal time as this vital division continues to grow its resource offerings to attract new membership and help improve the industry standards for service delivery. "I am truly honored and excited to step into the role of Chair for the Pet Care Division," says Kat. "The Pet Professional Guild represents the highest standards in force-free, ethical pet care, and I am passionate about supporting our members as they continue to grow, learn, and elevate our industry. Both Jennifer and Kat will take seats at the Steering Committee table and be integral parts of the PPG leadership team.
