Following the exit of brightfin's ServiceNow-native business, Mobile Solutions returns with a focused mid-market strategy and plans for strategic growth
Periscope Equity, a Chicago-based private equity firm, announced today that Mobile Solutions will return to market as an independent platform following the recent divestiture of brightfin's ServiceNow-native enterprise business. The firm has tapped Chebem Chukwu, a 15-year veteran of the mobile telecom industry, to serve as Chief Executive Officer and lead Mobile Solutions' renewed focus on mid-market mobility and telecom spend optimization.
Mobile Solutions is a technology-enabled mobility platform that helps mid-market organizations simplify mobile device management and telecom spend. The company delivers visibility, automation and control across the full mobility lifecycle, enabling customers to save time and reduce costs. Mobile Solutions will continue to serve its 300+ customers across a range of industries under the Mobile Solutions brand.
Periscope previously formed brightfin through acquisitions of Mobile Solutions (2019), MobiChord (2020) and Visage (2020), introducing brightfin as the go-to-market brand in May 2021. In January 2026, brightfin's ServiceNow-native enterprise business was acquired by Silversmith Capital Partners-backed Proven Optics. Periscope continues to own and operate Mobile Solutions and related assets as a separate platform, now returning to market under the Mobile Solutions brand with a sharpened focus on modernizing mobility management for the mid-market.
"This move creates clarity in the market and allows Mobile Solutions to operate with singular focus," said Periscope Principal Eric Hinkle. "The mid-market has historically lacked purpose-built mobility solutions, and we see significant potential for a dedicated platform to capture share through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions. As a standalone business, Mobile Solutions can move faster on product roadmap and customer needs. We have strong conviction in Chebem Chukwu's leadership and his ability to build on Mobile Solutions' foundation."
Chukwu was previously co-founder and CEO of MobilePhire, a venture-backed company that developed mobile data management software. Prior to founding MobilePhire, he served as a technical subject-matter expert in Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solutions at AT&T.
"The mid-market mobility space has been underserved for far too long, and we see a real opportunity to change that," offered Mobile Solutions CEO Chebem Chukwu. "At Mobile Solutions, we're reinvesting in our platform to simplify mobility management, helping customers save time and control costs. We're focused on building the mobility platform these organizations actually need. With Periscope as an aligned partner, we have the support and resources to execute on our vision, and when the right opportunities arise, we'll pursue strategic partnerships and acquisitions that strengthen our ability to deliver even greater value to our customers."
Mobile Solutions is actively pursuing add-on acquisitions to broaden its capabilities and market footprint.
DLA Piper served as legal counsel and D.A. Davidson served as financial advisor to Periscope Equity.
