Horizon3.ai Wins Most Promising Early-Stage Startup in 2022 SC Awards

Autonomous Pentesting Organization Demonstrates Tremendous Growth, Flagship Product, and Strong Focus on Customer Success

Horizon3.ai, a cybersecurity firm focused on autonomous penetration testing, today announced that it has been recognized as an Excellence Award winner in the Most Promising Early-Stage Startup category for the 2022 SC Awards. Now in its 25th year, the industry awards program is cybersecurity’s most prestigious and competitive program, recognizing the solutions, organizations, and people driving innovation and success in information security.

The 2022 SC Awards were the most competitive to date, with a record 800 entries received across 38 categories, expanding its recognition program to include several new award categories that reflect the shifting dynamics and emerging industry trends. Excellence Award winners were selected by a world-class panel of industry leaders from sectors including healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, consulting, and education among others.

“Security is no longer just a compliance checkbox. Organizations must proactively harden their security systems by finding and fixing attack vectors before criminals can exploit them,” said Snehal Antani, CEO and co-founder of Horizon3.ai. “However, most security tools are noisy, full of false positives, require persistent credentialed agents, and impose an enormous training and maintenance demand on IT and security teams. Security teams are overwhelmed with non-contextual reports and dashboards, which wastes a lot of valuable time and resources chasing vulnerabilities that don’t pose a real threat to their business. This is why NodeZero is unlike any other solution on the market.”

“The introduction of new categories for the SC Awards is recognition of the innovation happening throughout the security community in an effort to stay ahead of adversaries,” said Jill Aitoro, senior vice president of content strategy at CyberRisk Alliance and editor in chief of SC Media. “The cyber community understands that it can’t stand still.”

Horizon3.ai’s autonomous penetration testing platform, NodeZero, continuously assesses an enterprise's attack surface, identifying ways an attacker could chain together harvested credentials, misconfigurations, dangerous product defaults, and exploitable vulnerabilities to compromise systems and data. NodeZero helps organizations focus on fixing problems that can actually be exploited, saving time and resources spent chasing false positives.

“Taking home the win for Most Promising Early-Stage Startup in the SC Awards is a true honor,” Antani added. “It’s our mission at Horizon3.ai to help organizations harden their security systems by continuously attempting to exploit every attack path, and then offering proof of impact to help them alleviate risk to their business.”

A Meet the Winners networking reception celebration will take place during InfoSec World 2022, September 27th in Orlando, Florida.
