Attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference is a copy of the Registrant’s press release dated August 28, 2007 announcing that the shareholders of Pioneer Companies, Inc. have voted to approve the acquisition of Pioneer Companies, Inc. by the Registrant pursuant to the Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated May 20, 2007 among the Registrant, Princeton Merger Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Registrant, and Pioneer Companies, Inc.
